In this Physics video lecture in Hindi for class 12 we explained Rayleigh's criterion for limit of rand resolving power of an optical instrument. The smallest separation (linear or angular) between two point objects at which they appear just separated is called the limit of resolution of an optical instrument. The reciprocal of the limit of resolution of an optical instrument is known as the resolving power of that instrument. This phenomenon of inability to separate two objects happens due to diffraction.
